Victoria and Chad met on the dating app, Tinder, back in 2017. Their first date was miniature golf, followed by an impromptu date at GameWorks where they shared their first kiss. When you know, you know, and two weeks later Victoria told Chad that she loved him! To show his love and commitment, he gifted Victoria a ring on her birthday. This ring was a promise that one day he would ask her to marry him.
On June 18th, 2019, two years after they started dating, Chad and Victoria drove up to a cottage in St. Germain, Wisconsin to celebrate their two year dating anniversary. Victoria assumed it was simply a little anniversary getaway, but Chad had other plans. They enjoyed a day of fishing and relaxing, before heading back to the cottage to open their anniversary gifts. Both were anxious to open their gifts. Chad opened his treasure chest full of gifts first, and then it was Victoria's turn. Chad handed Victoria a photo album. Inside was a photograph of the two of them, along with a poem. The last line of the poem read: "It's time to retire this promise ring and fulfill the promise." He got down on one knee, as tears filled his eyes, and spoke the words every woman wants to hear... "will you marry me?" Needless to say, Victoria said "YES!"
